Hello!

My name is Andrés Parada and I’m a senior illustrator and concept artist working in film, TV, and games. I’m a member of the Art Directors Guild (IATSE, local 800) and currently serving in the IMA council {Illustrators and Matte Artists} as the treasurer.

My experience includes projects for clients like Netflix, Disney, Apple TV+, Paramount Pictures, Marvel Studios, Universal, 20th Century Studios, HBO Max and SONY Pictures. Some of my recent jobs are: Chief of War, Paradise, For All Mankind, Spider - Noir, Wonder Man, Mercy, Rebel Moon, Manhunt, Lioness, The Dark Age and American Horror Story, as well as working on commercials for Toyota, Walmart and Jack in the Box.

I have given lectures on design and illustration at several universities including: Dyson School of Engineering in London, Columbia College of Arts, University of Illinois at Chicago, College for Creative Studies in Detroit and Veritas School of Architecture in San Jose, Costa Rica. Currently I teach a studio art class at California State University, with an emphasis on entertainment design.

I was raised by Chilean refugees in Stockholm, Sweden, where I spent my youth painting murals and filling up sketch books with stylized graffiti letters and crazy characters. In 2004 I moved to the U.S. to obtain my degree in Industrial Design. I worked for a decade as a product design consultant doing projects for companies like Samsung, Microsoft, Jeep, PepsiCo and Hasbro. In 2016 I shifted my full time focus to the entertainment industry, where I finally found a perfect home for my visual storytelling.
